Time for me to put down these rules relating to this large species.

.: What Are the Lumins :.

The Crown Lumins are a nocturnal, lizard like species that are able to travel up to high speeds in open grasslands. They get their name from the `luminescent' light that shines from their back and the `crown' of armor like scales that outline it. The light is like their life force in a form, it trails along the spine to almost the tip of the tail, the light forms and sways like fire but it actually /isnt/ fire, also its at its most brightest at the shoulders as its closest near the heart. By nature they spend their time underground moving through tunnels and caves quite gracefully, their light is a natural source of light while moving around in the dark.

.: How Did The First Came To Be :.

Interesting story that is, You see! They were actually created by an extremely intelligent species by the name of the Zyons, A race of chaos, Madness, no morals and have an utter love for all things steampunk and Dna. The first born was Devon before the Zyons got a hold of him, He was something different before he became what he is today. In logical terms this species is a hybrid, So many different species were mixed and it became something new in its mixing, so their genetic makeup is really flawed by nature and mutations can appear in the lumin due to this.

.: Mutations :.

.: Color Rules :.

To prevent abuse of the color palette and well end up with a mess of colors, i have added in strict color rules regarding this, giving limit to what colors can mix with others if someone was to want one. I will be the person to go to about this specially when creating palette for your creature.

If the colour of the luminescent light (Lumin for short) was purple, the main body colour should be something that compliments it. (A blue or a red for example) The crowns colouring should be opposing to the lumin's colour, preferable on the opposite side of the colour wheel. The scales on the stomach/face/legs (which are optional and could be replaced with markings instead) must also follow the same colour rule as the crown. Eye colour should sit either side of the colour of the markings/scales on the color wheel, and their horns are either a darker or lighter shade of the main bodies colour.

Black and white can be mixed into the design, Black and white are in every shade as they are a saturation of them, Being black and white can be any of the colors it is basically you can have any color basically instead of following one of those rules black/red light = blue body instead of following on having an orange/pink body. But only one trait can be black/white on a single lumin, you can have black scales but cant have a black/white body or black in the light.

An example of a lumin correctly following these colouring rules:
For the above creature with a purple lumin and a blue main body colour, the crown could be yellow, and the scales/markings yellow as well.
The eyes could be orange, to compliment the scales/markings, and the horns could be gold.

If you are lost as to how to pick complimentary colours within these rules, you can refer to this colour wheel if you wish: luxuryhairbrands.com/yahoo_sit…

.: Touched by Light :.

The luminescent light along their backs is an important trait as it was influenced by something their creators had considered perfection. As it isnt just a light, its also their lifeforce in a form so by default it never goes out nor it cannot harm another, It can be effected by their emotions, flare up in a situation one isnt liking or dim when the Lumin is going through a rough patch in their life, Like we have hands to express ourselves they have the lumin.

The light doesnt have to be one color, there is uncommon occurrences in the species where some are born with more then one color, can be duel colored or 3 tone, even have the colors moving in a horizontal manner from head to tail.

.: Differences in the sexes :.

By Default, difference in the sexes is kinda silly, But this is my way on telling the difference between the key features one or the other shares, Thus both of them have a skill another would be dependent on, making both just as important as the other when they move as a pack.

Males Have horns, a raptor looking claw and large spade looking weapon on the tail, The Male use the weapons against other males (territory, breeding season, self defense ect ect ect)

The females lack the horns and the raptor claw, but they have the long whip like tail to enforce their agile build. At the end of the tail is a wisp of the luminescent light that is along their backs.

.: Scales and Coding :.

By design, Not every lumin is covered in a layer of scales, some of them have markings, some of them dont, it keeps variety among the species, But As the species gotten refined, Every Lumin has a formation of scales that are unique to them to tell them apart from other lumin apart from coloring. These scales can be anywhere on the body whether or not they have markings instead of scales.

.: The Dos and Donts :.

When I give one to you or another person, Let me know if it has been traded away or exchanged for another creature/Fursona/Adoptable ect ect, It will help me keep track of the species and their whereabouts about each one. IF you do give it away, make sure they have an understanding of the rules that comes with them so we dont have people with these creatures without an understanding of their rules and how they function.

When the colors are picked, Do not change them as it will pull them out of the color co-ordination i have going on. When adding traits to the species, they can be small changes but they must remain within the color palette they are given.

I do not encourage hybrids in the species, so no mixing it with another species of sorts, not even dragon/lumin hybrids, i not stress enough to look out for just these guys, let alone hybrids. The only hybrids i do allow would be cybernetic/Cyborgs of them, but that does not make them immune to the rules in anyway. If you have plans on making one, contact me and we will talk it over.

Do not remove the facial markings as its an identity. Each one is put into a folder where its my way on identifying each ones that gets created and its also so that there is no two that are the same.

Do not claim your lumin is an original (or a first blood) of the species as i am the creator i carry the two first born of them Devon and Thistle, Being they are the first of the species they are the most flawed in their creation.

And Do not claim the artwork as yours nor the species. Each of this species will be drawn by my hand, and by copyright the design and work is mine. Any claiming of the artwork and/or the species is a breach of my property and of the law, and by my rights i can report you for breaking a law infringement, For reposting only the owners have all right to repost the lumin they have gotten from me, but with credit attached to the piece and classifying their closed status.

Relating to giving your lumin a background story, the species themselves have a story that is being slowly fleshed out with time. As i have been working on these guys for a long time, its just taking some time to settle down and really work on them. So After the main story has been and gone, the space is set basically for full work on where they will settle post tale.

Do not make one of the species without asking me first. By creating one of my species without my permission is going against my will in what i want made relating to this species and it would be classed as a type of theft of my work.

.: Common Questions :.

Q. Are they actually Dragons or dragons in anyway?
A. No they are not dragons, they may be a lizard but not all lizards are dragons.

Q. How can I get one?
A. I give them out via adoptables in one of the groups i run, i will rarely pick people for custom lumins where i will work with them personally to get a color scheme and such of their liking.

Q. Do you plan on making adoptables to sell online?
A. I actually havent thought about that to be honest, maybe i might put some up for auction at a later date way in the future (im saying several years down the track) For now i do prefer that the species remains free.

Q. When you said about small changes what can i actually do with them?
A. You are allowed to add accessories, Change the shapes of the horns(if male) and add extra markings but the new markings has to keep within the palette that the other markings and scales share. Changes in the scales/markings colors and lumin is completely off limits.

Q. If you carry the first two, What would that make mine, Their son or something of the sort?
A. After Devon and Thistle were created, Each one after were created in sets of 4-5, making them all Origin Lumin. Being they have no parents, they are classed as Progenitors. So no they have no direct connection to my two in anyway.

Q. Coming to getting art of them, Is there any limits of what can be and cant be done of them?
A. No limits at all relating to art, i allow all sorts of artwork of them Anthro/Sonic/Humanoid/Adult (if that catches your fancy) Any art style is fine completely, just stay with the design.
Here is a document of my closed species.

I do not advise using this outline for your own species in any way, this is for reference reasons for the owners of my species and for myself when editing fresh information.

The Crown Lumin belong to me, any reposting of any of the species without my permission is classed as art theft.
